The first large-scale sea and light art spectacular in Hong Kong will be presented in the Victoria Harbour during autumn 2024. It will feature sailing ship light art, drone aerial choreography, international art IPs, and technological innovations, bringing an audiovisual feast.
The Victoria Harbour sail boat light art segment will showcase 20 sailboats cruising the harbour, displaying classic paintings with captivating light and shadow effects.In the Victoria Harbour drone aerial performance, 1,000 drones will choreograph a dynamic and spectacular light show in the night sky.
Organizers have collaborated with local universities to employ "generative AI" and "4D Gaussian Splatting" technologies to re-interpret world-renowned paintings with a Hong Kong style and produce a stunning Hong Kong tourism and cultural promotion video.
The international art IP lineup features renowned masterpieces such as Van Gogh's iconic "Starry Night," as well as a reinterpreted work by acclaimed Hong Kong light artist and award-winning Hong Kong film producer.
